Week 6 CFB Rollup

Week 6 CFB Rollup

The season of upsets came for Alabama and Oklahoma this week. Apparently, not even college football royalty is immune to the pandemic of upsets, which made for another seriously exciting weekend of games that messed with the ticker of some fans big time. I sincerely believe that we need to have cardiologist on call for these riveting finishes!

DOWN. GOES. BAMA!!!! DOWN. GOES. SABAN!!! Jimbo finally ends the winless streak that former assistants had in coaching against Saban in a masterclass coaching performance thanks to film that the Florida Gators provided the former FSU head coach.

Cincinnati rolls up Temple and looks the part of a team ready to crash the playoff party.

Arizona takes down Stanford who fail to build off their upset of Oregon. The Pac 12 is a savage schedule to play through.

Ohio State beats up Maryland worse than Fury did Wilder in their 2nd fight.

Florida gets back on track by shutting out Vanderbilt.

Oklahoma upsets my upset special by benching Rattler and rolling with Caleb Williams in this Red River Shootout. I picked Texas to win this game, but I didn’t foresee Riley pulling the trigger on replacing his QB. Oklahoma’s new look offense with the kid at the helm could be a game changer.

Arkansas versus Ole Miss should have been on in primetime instead of a noon kick off going up against the Red River Rivalry. What a game it was! Heartbreaking loss for Arkansas. I would love to see a rematch.

Michigan State easily dispatches Rutgers.

Boise State pulls off the upset of BYU!

Wake Forest holds on in a squeaker over Syracuse. I find it hard to believe that anyone gets out of the ACC without 2 losses this season. Wake still in 1st place for now.

SMU had to deal with some adversity with the midshipmen but managed to hold on for the win over Navy.

Georgia decisively beats Auburn and continues their magical unbeaten run to #1.

Iowa holds on to win at home in an amazing defensive battle of Big 10 teams! Early on it looked like Penn State would run away with it but a QB injury flipped the game on it’s head and Iowa has the inside track to a playoff spot.

Michigan absolutely had to fight for it’s life with Nebraska and pulled it out. Harbaugh finally has a team willing to fight through adversity. Can he keep the streak going?

Kentucky is absolutely rolling through the SEC. Their unbeaten run so far can be an upset to the entire SEC. Stoops has his team right where he wants them. The Bayou in Baton Rouge is heating up for Coach O as many Bayou Boosters are calling for him to be dismissed.

Notre Dame survives another ACC road onslaught. Just barely though. Virginia Tech’s athletic front 7 could bother anyone in the country.

San Diego State back in the top 25 with a win over New Mexico.

Coastal Carolina easily defeats Arkansas State. How good are they this year?

University of Texas San Antonio (UTSA) Roadrunners are undefeated in Conference USA. Time to give them some love.
